Used Ford cars: find the right example

A Focus hatchback, Kuga SUV and Mondeo are useful starting points for different family and commuting needs. Check access to the rear seats and the shape of the boot with the items you actually carry. A taller car is not automatically the best match for child seats, luggage or your parking space.

Ford Focus, Kuga and Mondeo: compare the details

Match the engine to your journeys rather than choosing on fuel type alone. Ask which maintenance schedule applies to the exact engine and what records support completed work. Advertised trim names do not replace checking the equipment list on the individual vehicle.

What to check before deciding

During a viewing, test the clutch or automatic operation, parking aids, heating and air conditioning. Ask about any MOT advisories and whether work was completed. Compare like-for-like age, mileage, gearbox, condition and history before judging two adverts solely by their asking price.

Build a useful shortlist

  • Open each advert for the current price, mileage, photographs and specification.
  • Ask which history documents and keys accompany the car.
  • Confirm your essential features before arranging a journey.
  • Compare the complete purchase and ownership cost, not just a monthly figure.

Stock changes. A model mentioned in this guide is not a promise that an example is currently available. Tell us what you are looking for if nothing in the live stock matches.
